La nit de Nadal de Grignon - Palau de la Música CatalanaChristmas Time, Music

The Palau de la Música Catalana once again hosts Joan Lamote de Grignon's La Nit de Nadal, an oratorio that tells of the transformation of a lonely man after the unexpected visit of three children on Christmas Eve. With echoes of Dickens, this work celebrates Christmas generosity and is performed by the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, the Orfeó Català and Cor Infantil, under the baton of Salvador Brotons. The evening is rounded off with the symphonic poem Puigsoliu by Joaquim Serra and a selection of Catalan carols that will undoubtedly add to the Christmas cheer.
