Flamenco at el Tablao de Carmen
Ideal for an evening out with your family, partner or friends, the Tablao de Carmen is performing a pure, authentic flamenco show every evening, with a line-up of eight artists: four "bailaor" flamenco dancers", two guitarists and two "cantaor" flamenco singers.
An iconic place of Barcelona, located in the Andalucian quarter of the Poble Espanyol in Montjuïc. Since it was opened in 1988, it is considered the mecca of Flamenco in Barcelona. It was created in tribute to the legendary "bailaora", Carmen Amaya, who was a close friend of the family who owned it.
An intimate space, decorated in the style of an Andalucian corral, so you can mingle with artists and enjoy a drink around a table, with some tapas or a traditional supper during the show.In the incomparable setting of a baroque palace you will enjoy a flamenco show like you've never imagined: an hour of extreme intensity where cante flamenco and flamenco dance are combined with cajón and flamenco guitar.

In Tablao Dalmases you will find authentic flamenco, artist with an incredible background that will make you feel flamenco in Barcelona like you've never experienced before.Created in 2003, Loop is a platform that focuses on the possibilities and challenges presented by video art, one of the key artistic movements of modern times. Each year, Loop hosts professionals and the public for a gathering where they can explore the latest technological and other developments in the moving image sector and see the work of new and established creatives who use video as their main tool.
Loop Festival runs for around 10 days and includes screenings, exhibitions, concerts, talks and other live events at numerous venues around the city.This curious tradition is one hundred percent from Barcelona and it takes place on the day of Corpus. As its name suggests, it consists of making an egg "dance" upon the source of the fountains found in cloisters, courtyards or gardens. To ensure that the egg doesn't fall, the "trick" is to put the whole shell of an empty egg. The fountains are decorated with flowers and fruits.

The Gran Teatre del Liceu is one of Barcelona's iconic venues and among the world's most spectacular opera houses. It begins the new season with an ambitious series of performances. The season will feature major works such as La forza del destino, Madama Butterfly, La Traviata and Lohengrin. The theatre will also be hosting dance performances featuring Afanador performed by the Spanish National Ballet and Hamer by Alexander Ekman performed by GöteborgsOperans Danskompani. There will also be concert performances of works by Debussy, Mahler and Monteverdi. And, finally, families will be able to enjoy the season for kids, the Petit Liceu, which will feature different shows, including La Barcarola and Rossini's Kitchen.
Barcelona Obertura Spring Festival Ciutat de Clàssica
The Barcelona Obertura Spring Festival, focusing on classical music, returns. Organised by Barcelona Obertura, Gran Teatre del Liceu Opera House, Palau de la Música Catalana and L'Auditori, Barcelona Obertura Classic & Lyric gives you the opportunity to hear top performers sing live, including singers from Spain and abroad, at these three venues.
This year the programme will also feature Ciutat de Clàssica, a free performances itinerary at different emblematic locations around the city such as Casa Batlló, Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, CASA SEAT, Fundació Miró, Fundació Antoni Tàpies and the Barcelona City Council's network of civic centers, which repeat the collaboration with the festival, and new venues such as Mirador Torre Glòries, Palau Güell, Can Deu civic center and the Mercè Rodoreda and García Márquez libraries.
St Stephen's Day Concert Palau de la Música Catalana
The great celebration of the choirs that, between them, have forged the soul of the Palau de la Música Catalana is among the longest standing concerts in Europe which continues to thrive in all its glory. The Orfeó Català, the Escola Coral de l'Orfeó Català choir and the Palau's Chamber Choir light up the Modernist concert hall with traditional songs, popular carols and joyous melodies with a mixture of Catalan and international pieces, new arrangements and previously unpublished works. The Saint Stephen's Day concert is, without doubt, one of the most important and keenly anticipated events for the Palau as an institution and for the cultural landscape in general.

Often relegated to a cliché by the prevailing patriarchal discourse, Gala, who was first a muse to Paul Éluard and then to Salvador Dalí, was frequently overshadowed as the sole woman in a male-dominated environment. However, Gala was a fierce, elusive and enigmatic woman, who equally fascinated and unsettled those around her. This exhibition offers the opportunity to get to know her through fashion. It is organized in three seasons and showcases some of the iconic outfits and dresses worn by Gala, created by designers such as Givenchy, Pierre Cardin, and Christian Dior.
